Julie Glassberg

France

Bio

She was still a kid when she was sent on summer camp and discovered the dark room : « the red light, the photo appearing slowly… I was hooked ». She got the bug and it literally consumed her.

She was 20 when she got in touch with two photographers in San Francisco whose work she had spotted. She travelled to California.

On her arrival she set off as an assistant to cover races on the Bonneville Speedway. « I set off with these two rockers in an old 60s Dodge Wagon. It was the trip of a lifetime. They really helped me change my outlook and decide to follow my dream of being a photographer ».

After photography school in New York and an internship at the New York Times, her dream had now become her everyday life. Julie is currently based in Brooklyn (NYC), she regularly works for the New York Times as well as French newspapers and magazines such as L’Equipe Magazine, Polka, Néon. She also continues working on personal projects.
